Wikipedia who speaks with authority, says she was born in Savannah and raised in Bainbridge. Jones has her born in Bainbridge. I doubt the distance matters. She has no real preponderance in her chart and it is rather scattered about, perfect for a Splash. Mercury and the Sun in the twelfth in Libra give her […]

Janet Gaynor was just twenty-two when she became the first person to win an Academy Award for Best Actress. Honored for her memorable performances in three dramatic films—Sunrise (1927), Seventh Heaven (1927), and Street Angel (1928)—Gaynor was the only actress ever to earn the Oscar for multiple roles rather than for work in a single […]

Mary Astor was in many film hits in the 1930’s and early 40’s before her alcoholism took its toll, most notably Dodsworth with Walter Huston and then the Maltese Falcon directed by Huston’s son, John Houston.  In her youth, as shown by the picture above, the raven haired actress was quite a beauty with her […]

Alan Alda is Irish-Italian and the only son of actor Robert Alda and Josephine Browne, a New York state beauty-pageant winner.  Born  Alphonso Joseph D’Abruzzo on January 28, 1936 in Brooklyn, he changed his name to Alda following his father’s footsteps which was a portmanteau of his real name ALphonso and D’Abruzzo when he went to […]

Bob Redford announced at 82 his retirement.  .  He has been acting since he was 22 starting out in Alfred Hitchcock and Twilight Zone shows in the late 50’s — my particular favorite is with Dame Gladys Cooper in “Nothing in the Dark.” Like the other blond god, Steve McQueen, of 60-70’s cinema Redford dominated […]

I caught the musical biography of Marin Marais, (baptized March 31, 1656, Paris—died Aug. 15, 1728, Paris), the French composer & virtuoso of the viola da gamba (a musical instrument similar to the cello), in the French movie Tous les matins du monde (1991; “All the Mornings of the World” directed by Alain Corneau) where Depardieu fils plays the younger Marais […]

Gary Busey playing Biff in Back to the Future is rather satirical, as he had a near death experience when he crashed a guard rail back in 1988. It made headline because he refused to wear a helmet and during the surgery to sew his head back together, the actor died on the operating table. […]

This chart shows French actor, Patrick Dewaere’s natal chart inside and his suicide chart on the out. What is stunning is that they both have fixed cosmic crosses, or grand squares that met on July 16th and went boom. I happened to catch him in A Bad Son that should have been titled Gloom Doom […]

Max Fleischer was her father, Sun in the ninth house in Leo.  Hollywood her mother, opposite the Sun in the third house of Aquarius; it would seem that the parents were match made in heaven.  We picked 12 noon for a matinée, but we do not really know the time of her first showing.  No […]

Roman Polanski is most notably the director of Rosemary's Baby and Chinatown and the widower of Sharon Tate.
