Göring was an ace flyer in Germany’s First World War. He was fast acting, reactive fighter pilot (Venus and Mercury conjunct in Sagittarius – Capricorn) with good stamina and physical courage.

A long time ago I read Gödel, Escher, Bach: An Eternal Golden Braid by Douglas Hofstadter and since then became a fan of this sensitive and gifted mathematician. I highly recommend the book and since we are closing down, I figured I get a few of my favorites in before then. Kurt Friedrich Gödel (in English the umlaut becomes oe) was born April 28, 1906 in Brno Czech Republic to a Rudolf August Godel a businessman and Roman Catholic and a Protestant mother Marianne a well-educated woman but both ethnic Germans. The Legend Our header picture is of the young Karl Lagerfeld at Maison Chloe which is where he began his creative journey in 1964. He stayed there for twenty years, left for about seven years and then returned for another five before leaving permanently to head Maison Chanel (House of Chanel). As creative director of Chanel, the fashion house founded by Gabrielle Chanel, he redesigned their stodgy designs. Still if he had underlying health issues, that would have weakened his system, the flu would have had a good threshold to work from.

Our featured photo is of her and Cesare Romano in “The Devil is a Woman” directed by Josef von Sternberg. It was her favorite film because it made her look “beautiful.” You can watch it here and see if you agree. Marlene Dietrich, a German femme fatale, is also a mutable hourglass. Like Joseph Haydn, she has a Virgo Ascendant, but her hourglass runs totally contrary to his. While he has a singleton in the third quadrant of spirituality; she has nothing. She was a professed atheist though born and raised Roman Catholic. Where Haydn has plenty of planets in…

British psychologist Havelock Ellis wrote up a fascinating case study of eight-year-old Marie Schneider. I rectified it based on her account, giving her a 01 Aquarius Ascendant; John Dillinger has this same degree on his Descendent according to Astrotheme.com E. C. Chambers claims it should be the other way and similar to Marie. Following that hunch up, Chambers is correct. Dr Ellis’s preface
