A bundle plantary pattern has all of its 10 planets within the span of a trine thus it has no oppositions or “rim” in its makeup. Bowls are often confused with Bundles, but the major distinction is bowls are a larger formation and spread out within the hemisphere whereas bundles are more concentrated. President William McKinley is a bundle, and from what I can tell, the only one ever elected president. But then I’ve only rectified up to James Garfield, and he, btw, is a Moon Bucket as are many 19th century born presidents. Looking at McKinley’s chart one maybe…

Tom Waits, a singer composer from California, is a mixture of Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen — the former he’s covered and the latter who covered him with “Jersey Girl.” Waits seems to be a likable sort; Hal Willner, a friend of his, had him on his Disney theme, Stay Awake — I’ve highlighted some of his songs for week forecasts, so finally I am doing his chart…it is his birthday. The right sound and the scruffy look His father is Irish, his mother Norwegian, a close approximation of Jackson Browne, another balladeer who is German- Norwegian, but the sound…

The introductory Book Marc E. Jones published this and almost all of his with the Sabian Publishing Society, which under its charter can only publish his works. Typically, this is called “How to Learn,.” but technically its title is “How to Learn Astrology” published in 1941. The cover of the book is our header image and my personal copy. How to Learn is out of print and has been for a long time, but you can pick up the paperback version of the book from Shambala Press, rather cheaply on eBay for under $15.00. Almost all the charts are from…

Marc Edmund Jones first discussed Bowl Temperament Types in his book “The Guide to Horoscope Interpretation,” which can be found at affordable prices on AbeBooks. You can purchase the basic Marc Jones library, which includes the Guide to Horoscope Interpretation & How to Learn and How and Why Astrology Works, for about $20.00. This includes either the Essentials or the Sabian Symbols, both of…

A long time ago I read Gödel, Escher, Bach: An Eternal Golden Braid by Douglas Hofstadter and since then became a fan of this sensitive and gifted mathematician. I highly recommend the book and since we are closing down, I figured I get a few of my favorites in before then. Kurt Friedrich Gödel (in English the umlaut becomes oe) was born April 28, 1906 in Brno Czech Republic to a Rudolf August Godel a businessman and Roman Catholic and a Protestant mother Marianne a well-educated woman but both ethnic Germans. Raised Protestant he was himself was a theistic Christian…

Roger Ailes was born on May 15, 1940 at 11:21 am in Warren, Ohio. He was a hemophiliac (look at the septiles below) and is best known for his Emmy-awarded TV production before moving into the political consulting. He is credited with the orchestra pit theory of news-making . If you have two guys on a stage and one guy says, “I have a solution to the Middle East problem,” and the other guy falls into the orchestra pit, well who do you think is going to be on the evening news? Roger Ailes Roger died on May 18, 2017…

Tamerlane, is known in his native Uzbekistan as Amir Timur, or Timur the Great, but in the West he is remembered from his epithet, Timurlenke (Turkish) or in Persian Timur-i lang (Temur the Lame). He was one of history’s greatest and cruelest conquerors. Early days of Timur Edgar Allen Poe wrote a poem for him, but it really an early rendition of his better Annabel Lee, written for his wife, as ins his Tamerlane, the great conqueror laments his lost love. It was not successful. The real Tamerlane was born nearly 500 years earlier in Kesh, near Samarkand, Transoxania [now in…

William Clarke Quantrill was a Confederate captain during the American Civil War. He was the Confederate version of General William Tecumseh Sherman who is renowned for his burning and pillaging non-military supporters. It is hard to say which man invented the scorched earth policy, but historians seems to favour Quantrill over Sherman because of the Lawrence KS raid. On August 21st 1863, a full year before Sherman’s bloody march to the sea, Quantrill and his men struck Lawrence Kansas because of its well known support of the Union and abolition. Quantrill was familiar with the area because he had been a schoolteacher…

John Emerich Edward Dalberg is Lord Acton. John Dalberg, was trained at St. Mary’s College in New Oscott, a Roman Catholic seminary in the Birmingham Archdiocese because Cambridge would not admit Catholics.
