Scarlett Johansson has a Cosmo

Scarlett Johansson and Colin Kelly Jost, both native New Yorkers; he was born in tony Grymes Hil on Staten Island, while she in Manhattan  have welcomed their first child together.  They were wed October 2020, ten months ago, and dated for three years previously. 

Colin, a proud father announced the newborn’s name Wednesday on Instagram, writing, “Ok we had a baby. His name is Cosmo. We love him very much.” 

Johansson also shares 6-year-old daughter Rose with ex-husband French journalist Romain DauriacThus, the little boy, Cosmos stays within the flower family. 

This is Scarlett’s third marriage. Her first marriage was to Canadian actor Ryan Reynolds, now married to Blake Lively. While this is Jost’s first outing.

Colin came to fame as the head writer for Saturday Night Live , which, if this chart is right is rather serendipitous, as Cosmo’s Ascendant is the same as SNL valedictorian and original cast member, comedienne Jane Curtin. Perhaps Cosmo will follow in his father’s footsteps..

Friends in all the right places

Colin, a Harvard graduate, roomed with Pete Buttigieg, former mayor of South Bend, Indiana (home of Notre Dame and where his father Joseph Buttigieg was a tenured professor with a speciality in Italian Fascism & Antonio Gramsci). When Cosmo was born he was then the Secretary of Transportation in the Biden Administration.

Cosmo’s Grand Trine in Earth

I don’t know if this is his real birth-time. I am going by the Instagram time and this chart is adjusted for local mean time. With those cavaets, Cosmo gets a 27 Scorpio 41 ascendant, the Sun sign of the assassinated James Garfield, President of the United States and child killer Nathan Leopold. More recently, it is also the ascendant of SNL comedienne Jane Curtin tying into his father’s work.

This makes his ascendant Scorpio 28 and gives him the Hyperion Symbol of “Important Memory Techniques,” will the keyword of “Harmonization.” That works well for Cosmo with his Splay planetary pattern as it is pattern that inherently bestows the native with grace and agility to handle life. With his as a grand trine in earth, auspicious for comedy and with Mars right at the midheaven, which bestows savvy administrative talent, this will make Cosmo a natural for slapstick comedy, much like his father showed during the summer Olympics while covering surfing in Tahiti. 

This setup of Mars at the midheaven opposite a strong Neptune in the fourth, giving him a personal sense of responsibility creates a T-Square to his first house cusp at 11 Sagittarius 54 (the Hyperion symbol is perfect here with the symbol of “Sumo wrestlers” men renown for their grace, athleticism and strategic thinking. In Cosmo’s case this will encourage clown at the party but could also lead to daredevil antics. Alas the downside it he may have a tendency towards his mother’s youthful drug issues which could fuel their latter dangerous acts.

Based on this chart, Cosmo should be a good-looking boy born with a silver spoon, attached to his mother and attracted to women like her, but lazy and indulgent like most rich kids (Pluto in the second house).  Life will be too easy for him raising again the spectre of too much partying and drug and alcohol addiction (Neptune), but we hope not.
